We’d love to open with a joyful “Happy Pride!”—and we do—but we also recognize that this moment calls for something deeper.
Across the country, LGBTQIA+ communities—especially trans and nonbinary youth, and queer service members—are facing unprecedented and coordinated attacks. The Supreme Court has recently failed in its role to protect our most vulnerable: restricting access to gender-affirming care for minors, dismantling suicide prevention support, and upholding policies that allow students to be excluded from simply encountering LGBTQIA+ stories in schools.
These are not isolated incidents. They are part of a broader attempt to silence, divide, and erase us.
But we know this: These struggles are connected. And the only way forward is together.
Kitsap Pride is more than a festival. It’s a gathering grounded in resilience, community, and radical love. In the face of those who try to take our rights, we respond with a call to unite.
While others may try to pit marginalized communities against each other, we choose unity. We choose to listen, to build bridges, and to rise together—especially when it’s hard.
It takes an entire community to bring Pride to life. From the performances and speakers to the community booths and volunteers, this event is powered by local love, labor, and fierce commitment. We are proud to be part of a tradition that lifts queer joy in the very places where we’ve been told to quiet down.
Pride is complex. It honors the fights we’ve had to wage for safety, rights, and recognition—and it returns us to joy: the deep, vibrant joy that lives at the heart of our community.
Pride is our power, and we need it now more than ever.
Whether you’re here to celebrate, stand in solidarity, or speak out, there is a place for you at Kitsap Pride. So come as you are. Dance, learn, connect, resist, and rest with us. Because when we show up fully and fiercely, we are unstoppable.
Welcome to Kitsap Pride. We’re so glad you’re here.
Happy Pride Weekend!
