Many people are feeling anxious about what is ahead for our community. Lots of other emotions to deal with as well. The key is that we have built a community to help us move forward together. Stronger Together. Let’s continue to be there for each other. Let’s go out of our way to connect with each other, but especially to those who may be more isolated.
We’ve faced tough times and stood up to bullies before and we can do it again. We will get through this with the help, support, and love of each other.
Kitsap Pride is working on a Winter Pride event. Let us know what you feel you need and what we can do to help as we move forward.
Take some inspiration from the words of Martin Luther King Jr: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”

Kitsap Pride couldn’t happen every year without the support of our sponsors. This year we are proud to have the Pride Foundation and Group Health Cooperative sponsoring the event. Come by and see them on July 18, 2015 from Noon to 5 p.m. at Evergreen Park in Bremerton.
Pride Foundation is a regional community foundation that inspires giving to expand opportunities and advance full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people across the Northwest. They invest in organizations, students, and leaders in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington—transforming individual acts of courage into a unified movement for change. Leveraging generous support from thousands of donors and volunteers, they provide the support that local visionaries need to effect change in their communities: grant dollars, scholarships, fellowships, technical expertise, convenings, and leadership development.
Group Health Cooperative is a member-governed, nonprofit health care system that coordinates care and coverage. Founded in 1947 and based in Seattle, Washington, Group Health and its subsidiary health carriers, Group Health Options, Inc. and KPS Health Plans, serve more than 600,000 residents of Washington and North Idaho. Group Health serves the Kitsap Peninsula with medical centers in Poulsbo, Silverdale, and Port Orchard and behavioral health services in Bremerton.
